Watching the Clock

January 31st, 2005

According to the countdown clock at the bottom of the page, at this writing it’s about 107 days until ROTS. With the release of a new trailer and the novelization and script, and the ratcheting up of folks’ excitement, I thought I’d celebrate in my own way. I’ve never posted more than a couple of days consecutively, so I’m contemplating 30 days straight of PT bashing. It’s not hard to find 30 unique things to bash; the PT has generously given many more. And some things take more than a couple of paragraphs to properly rip. Plus, there are things I never got around to posting about, so 30 days should not be an ordeal.

With these awful spoilers coming out, however, there may be enough for 60 days.

The Antechamber

January 29th, 2005

That’s my new message board, in response to not being able to discuss spoilers in my usual place at TF.N, and not wanting to continuously get my head smashed in in the Spoiler forum. I’m keeping up with the millenniumfalcon.com spoiler updates so people won’t have to hunt for them (and save the from the gusher spin they will get).

Ignore Me…

January 26th, 2005

I have to vent a little. This place (which shall remain nameless) has a problem, and most of those in charge don’t or won’t see it. I asked one of those in charge to ameliorate the situation, and I got what amounted to a “Don’t like it? Tough!” response.

I wish I could buy up the place, wipe it clean and start all over. Especially that boiling cesspool that’s a huge part of the problem.

Always In Motion, the Future Is…

January 16th, 2005

I’ve been mulling over some ideas for a while now, about this blog and the time between now and when ROTS DVD remainders will be sent back to the distributor. Buying a domain and expanding to a full-blown website has always been on my mind, but the thing that’s always stopped me is “what would I put on it?” I would need to be more diligent in keeping up the thing, more than I have been with the blog. I also want a message board, but my track record with boards has been dismal. Three boards dead and buried. If I had to choose, I’d choose the boards over the website, because I’d rather deal with trolls than deal with miles of code.

Year of the Sith

January 12th, 2005

I thought I would have something cutting and clever to say to bring in this year of the last SW movie ever, but, alas, I don’t. Coming off the back end of the holidays tired and mildly ill, there’s not much ticking in the dark recesses of my mind.

Oh, wait…

There is that spoiler about what Anakin saw in a vision concerning his progeny occupying Padme’s belly. I’m not crazy about talking about it because I’m hoping it’s not true. It’s almost too stupid to be true. It’s five months till the opening, and chances are good that GL will be cutting and pasting right up to the date he has to deliver the movie. So he could just as easily cut it out. Which, if he has any sense, he won’t leave in.
